Dolce&Gabbana Beauty invites you to discover the fragrance Velvet Black Patchouli, an olfactory celebration of the fusion of East and West, joining the Oriental Blends Family. Patchouli symbolizes this rich exchange of cultures, recalling a time when precious goods arrived from the East on the shores of Italy, imbued with its mysterious heady scent. The woody oriental fragrance opens with fruity, balsamic top notes of Indian davana oil, which mingles with zesty Tarocco Sicilian blood orange, and is offset by the dry earthy facets of Indian papyrus essence. Aromatic clary sage powers the heart of the fragrance, its fruity floral quality giving way to sweet musky undertones and hints of tobacco. The clary sage is complemented by peppery coriander seeds and the heady opulence of Bulgarian rose. Then comes the signature of the fragrance – rich, woody patchouli with its hints of spice and subtle smokiness coalesces with Spanish cistus essence, which brings a warm, dry, resinous quality to the perfume. The base is enriched by Venezuelan tonka beans and notes of vanilla and caramel that leave a lingering sweetness on the skin.
The bottle shares the signature silhouette of the Velvet Collection fragrances, the unmistakable weighty glass flacon topped with an elegant gold-trimmed velvet cap. For Velvet Black Patchouli, this classic form is cloaked in shadowy black, evoking the enigmatic
ystery of the oriental fragrance within. An engraved golden plaque finishes the bottle, which is housed in a black coffret of precious velvet.
Warmth intensifies fragrance. Apply it to your body’s warmest points, such as the creases of your elbows and wrists, and clothing for more strength and longevity.
Avoid rubbing or dabbing after application, as this can break down the fragrance.
For wrist application, apply the fragrance after hand washing which can rinse off the scent.
WHY DO WE SELL DECANTS?
Because there are so many fragrances and so little time! We sell samples which are a wonderful way to try many fragrances before deciding on the full bottle you know you will love. Samples offer the ability to wear perfume for a week or more and decide if that fragrance is right for you. Once you sample fragrances and find ones that you love, you can buy a full bottle from another E-tailer, department store or perfume boutique.
WHAT YOU RECEIVE: You pick the scent and the size, then we decant from the original bottle or vessel into a brand new sterile glass spray (please note 1ml samples are not sprays). We label each decant and carefully package to prevent leakage. To assure you that you get the exact amount listed for each decant bottle, we use medical measuring devices so that each bottle is filled the exact amount. Please note, there is air space left at the top of the bottles which is important for pressurization in atomizers. Air space does not mean you received less than the amount listed. Please understand before purchasing, you will NOT receive an original bottle of perfume from the manufacturer. However, you WILL receive a re-packaged, unaltered, freshly and expertly hand-decanted scent.
DECANTING PROCESS: Each vessel is hand decanted after payment and moments before shipping from our bottles of authentic fragrances. We use sterile medical pipettes designated for each fragrance, or the perfume is sprayed or poured directly from the original bottle.
